Neonatal sigmoid volvulus: A complication of anal stenosis

Sigmoid volvulus is an exceptionally rare cause of intestinal obstruction i n neonates. Only 7 cases have been reported in the English and French liter ature. The authors report a recent case of sigmoid volvulus in a neonate se condary to anal stenosis and review the diagnosis and management of this se rious condition.
