The photoelectron angular distribution asymmetry parameters beta (i) for th
e 2s(2)2p(3) 4S(o), D-2(o) and P-2(o) final ionic states in the photoioniza
tion of ground state atomic oxygen are calculated using the R-matrix method
in the photon energy range from threshold to 50 eV. Fairly extensive confi
guration-interaction wavefunctions are used to describe the initial 2s(2)2p
(4) P-3 bound state and the final S-3(o), (3)p(o) and D-3(o) continuum stat
es. The prominent features in the asymmetry parameters are the autoionizati
on structures. Our results are compared with other available calculations a
nd experiments.
