Abstract
A two-mass method is proposed to determine the four-pole parameters of a un i-directional asymmetrical vibration isolator. It may be regarded as a univ ersal testing procedure applicable to uni-directional or bi-directional, an d asymmetrical or symmetrical vibration isolators under static load. Genera lly, vibration isolators incorporating some form of active control are exam ples of uni-directional asymmetrical vibration isolators. Experimental data are presented that validate the two-mass method. (C) 2001 Academic Press.
