This paper presents the results from a hardware demonstration of a noise ra
diation sensor for a baffled rectangular plate. The sensor consists of an a
rray of independent piezoelectric patches connected to a linear combiner. T
he coefficients of the linear combiner are computed in order to reconstruct
(in real time) the volume displacement (or velocity). The robustness of th
e volume displacement sensor with respect to the location of the disturbanc
