Abstract
As reported in tile literature, oral endotracheal intubation of rats is con sidered to be very difficult. Specialised equipment and complicated techniq ues have been described to perform this procedure. In our experiment we ado pted a simple method, which allowed - without any complicated equipment - t he insertion of a relatively wide tube into the trachea of rats, allowing d rug administration.
