Abstract
The investigations were carried out-in 1999 year on 3-year-old female goats infected with gastrointestinal nematodes of the: Trichostrongylidae and An cylostomatidae genus. Before the levamisole and oxfendazole test, only Nilv erm was used in years 1996-1998 in the flock of investigated goats. Goats w ere divided into three groups, Group was-given Nilverm injection sub.,cut. in a dose of 7.5 mg/kg, group II was given: Systamex in a dose of 5 mg/kg p er os. Group III was untreated (control). Samples of faeces were collected on the 10th, 30th and 60th day after administrations of the drugs and exami ned using a flotation technique by Fulleborn (extensiveness of invasion) an d McMaster (intensity of invasion). Efficacy of drugs was evaluated on the grounds of the Faecal Egg Count Reduction Test (FECRT). Efficacy of levamis ole was determined as 44.4%, 52.4% and 43.7% and of oxfendazole 100%, 62% a nd 56.2% on assorted days. The investigations did not demonstrate: sufficie nt activity of the examined :drugs: against gastrointestinal nematodes in g oats. These results might suggest the existence of drug resistance of the n ematodes or insufficient revels of the examined drug doses.
