Abstract
Crystallization of high-silica zeolites from 0-4 ROH (aliphatic alcohol) : 0.1-0.6 Na2O : 0.002-0.02 Al2O3 : SiO2 : 40-80 H2O was investigated. Single crystals of mordenite with different crystal sizes were successfully synth esized. Under well-optimized conditions, pure uniform and large single crys tals were obtained. From nitrogen adsorption, Si-29 and Al-27 MAS NMR measu rements of as-synthesized and protonated mordenites, it was found that as-s ynthesized mordenite is small port mordenite.
