A pH adjusted synthesis procedure with a tenside mixture of hexadecyl- and
dodecyltrimethylammonium salts as structure directing agents and mesitylene
as swelling agent was used in the synthesis of mesoporous silica. Followin
g this procedure large-pore mesoporous materials were obtained with narrow
pore size distributions (BJH), high surface area (BET), and high pore volum
