Abstract
Cadmium sulfide nanoparticles were prepared within the siliceous MCM-41 mes oporous molecular sieve, whose surface was functionalized with 3-mercaptopr opyitrimethoxysilane at different temperatures. Their size, estimated from diffuse reflectance UV/VIS spectra, decreases with increasing number of int roduced thiol groups acting as anchors. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
