Abstract
An accurate analysis of shorted microstrip patch antennas is presented base d on the use of the locally conformal finite-difference time-domain (CFDTD) method. This approach enables the positions and dimensions of the probe an d the shorting pin to be chosen independently. The calculated result is com pared with the measured result, and good agreement is observed. (C) 2001 Jo hn Wiley & Sons, Inc.
