Abstract
Experimental results for an L-probe-fed shorted triangular patch antenna ar e presented. Using a foam layer of thickness similar to 0.13 lambda (0) as a supported substrate, an impedance bandwidth of 61% (SWR less than or equa l to 2) and a gain of over 4.0 dBi in the bandwidth have been obtained. The far-field patterns are stable across the passband. (C) 2001 John Wiley & S ons, Inc.
