Abstract
An improved method for the evaluation of the temperature integral and a sim pler and straightforward alternative derivation of the thermoluminescence ( TL) glow curve deconvolution functions proposed by Kitis et al. [J. Phys. D 31, 2636 (1998)] are presented. A comparative study of the derived deconvo lution functions and the Gauss-Lorentz asymmetric deconvolution function pr oposed by Vejnovic et al, has been made considering a number of computer si mulated TL peaks. We apply Kitis' method to deconvolute a number of experim ental TL glow curves. Finally, the possible extension of Kitis' method to t he case of TL with temperature dependent frequency factor is also considere d.
