Abstract
Third-harmonic generation of laser radiation is studied in colloidal soluti ons of platinum and copper. The values of chi ((3)) in these solutions at a wavelength of 1064 nm were measured to be 2 x 10(-14) and 10(-14) CGSE uni ts, and the efficiency of the Nd : YAG laser radiation conversion to the th ird harmonic was 7 x 10(-7) and 3 x 10(-7), respectively.
