Abstract
A model of a superconducting fault current limiter on a polycrystalline hig h-temperature superconductor basis is checked in the dc short circuit regim e. Protection of load takes place under the conditions described in this pa per. The use of ceramic materials with superconducting-normal metal-superco nducting Josephson junction network having an S-type current-voltage charac teristic (CVC) is shown to be effective for fault current limiter devices.
