A numerical algorithm for nonlinear elastic relaxation of a multilayer wove
n fabric is introduced and tested. The equilibrium solutions are compared w
ith real samples. An excellent result is obtained in spite of two simplific
ations: Bending stiffness of the fibers and friction between the fibers are
both neglected. The numerical simulation is very fast and cost efficient i
