Abstract
The Cd1-xZnxTe compound where x = 0.04; 0.05 and 0.1 in the system Cd - Zn - Te has been prepared from its elements using the vertical - Bri dgman technique in a similar manner to the CdTe compound. A relatively small deviation (+/-1%) from stoichiometry has been determined. In th e first approximation the prepared compound can be assumed to be a pse udobinary system in the investigated composition range. A strong depen dence of the electrical resistivity of the Cd1-xZnxTe compound on comp osition has been found, being different from that observed for the CdT e compound.
