Abstract
In this paper, we study the existence and approximation of the extremal sol utions for the phi -Laplacian problem lying between a pair of a lower solut ion alpha and an upper solution beta such that alpha less than or equal to beta. We consider general boundary functional conditions that include class ical ones as separated or periodic. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All righ ts reserved.
