Abstract
Specimens from 12 Northern California (USA) localities and from the Queen C harlotte Islands (Canada) were examined. The variability of more than 15 ch aracters is compared and their taxonomic importance discussed. Three new sp ecies are described: P. (Pedetontus) yosemite, P. (P.) schicki and, Petridi obius (Pacltiobius) canadensis.-The description of P. (Pedetontus) californ icus is completed.
