Abstract
The weak reflectivity (1-2 dB) of a fibre Bragg grating can be significantl y amplified (to 14 dB, 96%) in standard telecommunication fibre by post irr adiation with uniform 157 nm F-2-laser radiation. This enhancement, togethe r with wavelength tuning can be precisely controlled by the post exposure f luence.
