Abstract
A waveguide reflectometer, in combination with a fibre optic temperature pr obe, is used to characterise the permittivity changes of small rubber sampl es heated with high power microwaves. The molecular changes of rubber durin g vulcanisation can be clearly seen in the evolution of the measured comple x dielectric constant against time and temperature.
