The results of an experiment on synchronous recording of geomagnetic pulsat
ions and variations in the Doppler frequency shift (DFS) at Norilsk station
(geomagnetic coordinates lambda = 64.2 degrees, Phi = 160.4 degrees, L = 5
.3) in February-March 1995-1996 are analyzed. A digital ionosonde with oper
ating frequencies in the range 1-20 MHz allowed us to receive radio signals
reflected from the ionospheric E-s and F2 layers. The registration of geom
agnetic pulsations was carried out with an induction magnetometer in the fr
equency range 0.2-0.005 Hz. Seven fragments of the DFS variations were anal
yzed during the appearance of the Pi2 pulsations, and two fragments were an
alyzed during the period of Pc5-oscillation observation. Regular Pc5 pulsat
ions with frequencies of 5-15 mHz were accompanied by synchronous variation
s in the DFS with a high degree of correlation. Almost no correlation has b
een observed during the observation of Pi2 pulsations, although the main fr
equencies in the spectra of geomagnetic pulsations and variations in the DF
S coincide.
