The latitudinal component of the ionospheric current distribution has been
calculated for three isolated substorms during the ionosphere modification
by SW heating in Troms phi, Norway. The specific features of the auroral we
stward electrojet behavior have been determined in connection with the oper
ation of transmitters: electrojet maximum displacement and fixation of the
electrojet equatorward boundary. The current calculation results have been
corroborated by a comparison with the observations of auroras.
