Bl. Kashcheev et An. Oleinikov, Spatiotemporal structure of internal gravity waves in the mesopause-lower thermosphere region as inferred from meteor radar observations, GEOMAG AERO, 41(3), 2001, pp. 370-375
The spatial and temporal structures of internal gravity waves (JGW) detecte
d at heights of 80-100 km by analyzing experimental wind-velocity measureme
nts made with two meteor radar stations are reported. An analysis of simult
aneous spatial sounding measurements of the height and radial drift velocit
ies of meteor trails in two orthogonal or opposite directions made it possi
ble to detect IGW and to determine their parameters in regions 250-300 km a
part.
