Abstract
A nonlinear elliptic problem is derived from the isothermal or isentro pic stationary quantum hydrodynamic model in the gradient-flow case. T he problem is complemented will physically motivated Dirichlet boundar y conditions. Existence of solutions can be shown if the electric ener gy is small compared to tile thermal energy. Furthermore, uniqueness o f solutions is proven or small data.
