Abstract
A new radical cation salt (ET)(5)[Dy(NCS)(6)NO3]. (C2H5OH based on a comple x dysprosium anion was prepared by electrochemical oxidation of Bis (ethyle nedithio)tetrathiafulvalene (ET) in a chlorobenzene-ethanol solution. Its c rystal structure and conducting properties were studied. The salt has a lay ered crystal structure with a new type of packing of the radical cation lay er, which is called omega type. Its electrical properties show that this sa lt is a semiconductor.
