Abstract
Although Maxwell's equations have been known for over 100 years, it was: no t until the last decade that they have seen regular use in applied high fre quency design. The availability of sufficient computer processing capabilit y is only part of the reason Maxwell's equations now enjoy regular applicat ion. Other developments requiring considerable effort are needed as well. T hese include increased attention to robustness, software testing, ease of u se, portability, integration with other tools, and support. These developme nts: are detailed in this paper.
