Abstract
Diabetics are predisposed to infections because of various immune deficienc ies, including neutrophil and monocyte dysfunction. Some of these immune de ficiencies are improved by tight glucose control. This article is a review of the immune deficiencies seen in diabetes and an overview of selected inf ections that are commonly or predominantly seen in diabetics.
