Abstract
Oxidative oligomerization of 1,6-naphthalenediol by cis-bisglycinato copper (II)monohydrate with hydrogenperoxide gives C-O bonded oligomer. Further re activity of this oligomer with hydrogen peroxide and organic substrate show s improvement in the yield of oxidative and hydrolytic reactions. For examp le the oligomer along with cis-bisglycinato copper(LT) catalyses hydrolytic reaction of benzamide to benzoic acid. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
