Abstract
The goal of occupational safety and health intervention effectiveness resea rch is to determine whether specific interventions work to prevent work-rel ated injury and illness. But that is not the whole story. It is also import ant that the development and implementation of the intervention be elevated , All three phases (development, implementation, and effectiveness) are cen tral to a model of intervention research proposed by the National Occupatio nal Research agenda Intervention Effectiveness Research team. Areas for fut ure research are also presented.
