This paper discusses the features of wavefront reconstruction when volume h
olograms are simultaneously illuminated with a changed object beam and an u
nchanged reference beam with the condition that the reconstructing object b
eam partially differs in phase distribution from the recording object beam.
It is shown that real-time interferometry and correlation analysis of the
final and initial states of the object can be carried out in this case with
higher efficiency that could be done on planar holograms. (C) 2001 The Opt
