Lattice Boltzmann simulations of acoustic streaming

Lattice Boltzmann simulations are used to model the acoustic streaming prod uced by the interaction of an acoustic wave with a boundary. Comparison is made with analytic results fbr Rayleigh streaming in the appropriate limits and we show how deviations from those limits affect the streaming. Acousti c streaming patterns around a cylinder and between two plates of finite len gth are then predicted.
