Abstract
The catalytic properties of vanadia-titania catalysts and the reasons for t heir change in the course of durene oxidation to pyromellitic dianhydride a re studied. The catalysts differ in preparation conditions and the composit ion of the active component film deposited on a nonporous support. The stab ility of the catalytic properties in the reaction medium of durene oxidatio n is mainly determined by the properties of titania precursors.
