Electrical conductivity of manganese-substituted lithium ferrites was inves
tigated from room temperature to well beyond the Curie temperature. The ele
ctrical conduction in these ferrites is explained on the basis of the hoppi
ng mechanism. Plots of log(sigmaT) vs. 10(3)/T show a transition near the C
urie temperature. The carrier concentration mobility of charge carriers has
