In this work the main characteristics of transient photocurrents on disorde
red multilayers, as obtained by the time-of-flight technique, are simulated
and compared to experimental data from the literature. The origin of the d
ouble-peak shape adopted by the photocurrents is discussed in this work, an
d it is shown that each peak is directly related to the time delay of charg
e carriers at the layer-layer and contact-layer interfaces, respectively. T
wo mechanisms of conduction are involved in the transport of carriers throu
gh the multilayer structure.
