Abstract
The ferromagnetic phase was found in single crystals of the new diluted mag netic semiconductor of p-Bi2-xFexTe3 (0 less than or equal to x less than o r equal to 0.08) at a temperature T-c which increases with Fe content x up to T-c = 12 K for x = 0.08. The easy-axis for magnetization is parallel to the C-3 crystallographic axis. In n-type samples Bi2-xFexSe3 ferromagnetic transition was not found down to 2 K. Iron atoms exhibit donor properties. With an increasing the content x of Fe atoms the value of the Seebeck coeff icient ct increases. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
