Abstract
A new class of domain morphologies in diblock copolymer systems, i.e. a hel ical domain morphology, was found in a three component mixture: of polystyr ene-block-polyisoprene diblock copolymer, homo-polystyrene, and homo-polyis oprene. An intuitive explanation of such a domain morphology is given, whic h predicts that this helical morphology can be observed only in a non-equil ibrium state. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd.
