Abstract
We present the use of the gain grating technique in the construction of a c ontinuous-wave diode-pumped Nd:YVO4 holographic laser oscillator. The oscil lator was able to produce a small signal gain of approximate to 7 x 10(7) a nd a relatively circular TEM00 spatial mode with an output power of approxi mate to 5.7 W.
