Electrochemical behavior of phenylhydrazine on glassy carbon and carbon fib
er in a neutral aqueous solution is studied with differential voltammetry a
nd potentiostatic oxidation. The fiber surface has a considerable catalytic
effect, and the oxidation products depend on the fiber potential. The appl
ication of carbon fiber as an electrode material in electrochemical purific
ation of waste water from phenylhydrazine is considered.
