Abstract
A polypyrrole (PPy)-based conducting composite was prepared by electropolym erising pyrrole within crosslinked matrix of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA). It was obtained in the form of coherent film and was characterised with respec t to different electrical properties. The composite was found to possess si gnificant NH3 sensing capacity; results of some preliminary investigations regarding the NH3 sensing is reported here. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
