Abstract
As a green alternative to classical homogeneous catalyst in toluene in clos ed vessels, the intermolecular hydroacylation of l-alkenes with aldehydes b y Rh(I) complex (Wilkinson catalyst) can be realized efficiently under solv ent-free conditions. When coupled to microwave activation, it results in a serious improvement when compared to classical conditions. (C) 2001 Elsevie r Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
