Abstract
Raman spectra of an oriented 12% fluorene (FL) solution in the nematic phas e ZLI-1695 have been recorded and studied. Orientation was achieved by intr oducing the solution into a capillary tube of 0.3 mm inner diameter. The me thod represents a very simple procedure for studying Raman spectra of orien ted free molecules. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
