Abstract
The contribution is devoted to the seismic vibration analysis of nonconserv ative mechanical systems with viscodampers by a new modified response spect rum method. The method is based on the modal analysis of non-classic damped systems with frequency dependent viscodampers. The seismic excitation is d escribed by an acceleration response spectrum. The method is applied for th e seismic analysis of the primary coolant loop of the nuclear reactor.
