B. Mauroy et al., Comparison between three intermittent catheterism: a prospective study in a group of 27 patients., ANN UROL, 35(4), 2001, pp. 223-228
Clean intermittent catheterization has become a usual procedure in urologic
practice. Self lubrificated catheters arenowadays accepted as the most eff
icients. This randomised and prospective study compared tolerance and effic
iency in a group of 27 patients of three well known catheters (12 charriere
, straight): Flocath (Ruschcare(R)), Lofric (Astratech(R)) and Easycath (Co
loplast(R)). The systematic comparison of this three catheters did not allo
w to put in a prominent position one of these. The three catheters are extr
emely close in terms of tolerance and performance. (C) 2001 Editions scient
