The gravitational force acting on antiparticles has never been directl
y measured to date. A method for measuring the gravitational effects o
n antihydrogen by equilibrating the gravitational force with a magneti
c gradient is discussed. The systematic and statistical errors inheren
t to the measurement will be presented. It will be shown that a measur
ement of gravity at 1% can be realised using similar to 5 x 10(5) anti
hydrogen atoms. The production of antihydrogen atoms in conditions sui
table for the measurement is also discussed.
