Abstract
The main problems associated with the calculation of heat radiation of fireballs formed as a result of explosions of rockets or during major accidents at chemical plants are formulated and analyzed. The spheric al harmonics and Monte Carlo methods are used to calculate the spectra l and integral radiation heat fluxes that are characteristic of oxygen -hydrogen fireballs investigated in the PYRO experiments.
