The possibility is considered of enhancing the sensitivity of an optic
al gas analyzer for measuring the NO and SO2 content in gas media by s
imultaneous application of the absorption method and fluorescence effe
ct. The schematic diagram of the instrument and its characteristics ar
e discussed, and the results of testing the instrument model are prese
nted. The range of NO concentration being measured varies from 10 to 4
00 ppm, and that of SO2 from 10 to 800 ppm.
