Abstract
The correlations are derived for the fields of velocities and temperat ures in a melt film forming upon melting a briquet of ash waste by a l ow-temperature plasma. The criterional dependence is determined that d escribes the heat transfer in the film, and the film thickness is calc ulated. The relation is given that enables one to use a preassigned he at flux to calculate the briquet velocity when entering the plasma col umn.
