Abstract
Quantitative analysis of the steady states multiplicity, linear stability a nd the yield of a fluidized-bed reactor for the low pressure methanol synth esis has been performed. The reactor coupled with an external heat exchange r has been considered. Particular attention has been focused on the analysi s of the effect of external feedback deformation on the stationary properti es of this configuration. The obtained results show a significant influence of operational parameters on the yield of the reactor. The existence of ma xima of the yield has been proven. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
