Abstract
An analytical kinetic model was developed to simulate the degradation of pe sticides in systems such as soil or water. Based on a single compartment sy stem, a set of simultaneous first-order differential equations was analytic ally solved by the eigenvalue and eigenvector method. The developed model i s capable of simulating the concentrations of parent compound and any net o f degradation products connected by irreversible reactions. (C) 2001 Elsevi er Science Ltd.
