Abstract
The Global Stratotype Section and Paint (GSSP) of the Permian-Triassic boun dary has been ratified by IUGS. The boundary is defined at the base of Hind eodus parvus horizon, ie. the base of Bed 27c of Meishan section D, Changxi ng County, Zhejiang Province, South China.
